An election was held on November 8, 2016, to elect all 120 members to North Carolina's House of Representatives. The election coincided with elections for other offices, including U.S. President, U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, state governor and state senate. The primary election was held on March 15, 2016. There was no change in the composition of the House (compared to the results of the 2014 elections) as Republicans retained their three-fifths supermajority, winning 74 seats compared to 46 seats for the Democrats.
