AMAD Project (or AMAD Plan, Persian: پروژه آماد) is an Iranian scientific project, started in 1989 and stopped in 2003 according to IAEA, that is suspected by Israel to have nonetheless continued, with the aim of developing nuclear weapons. Iran have denied the existence of any program aimed at the development of a nuclear explosive device, and in particular denied the existence of the AMAD Plan when reporting additional details to IAEA in 2015.

Zahlreiche Dokumente, die Netanyahu während dieser Präsentation zeigte, stammen aus den Jahren 1999 bis 2003. Details über das Projekt Amad wurden bereits in einem Bericht der IAEA aus dem Jahre 2015 erwähnt, und das Abkommen zum Stopp des iranischen Atomwaffenprogramms trat ohnehin erst im folgenden Jahr in Kraft. Ohne Netanyahu und dessen Präsentation zu erwähnen, bestätigte die IAEA am 1. Mai durch ihren Pressesprecher, dass sie nach 2009 keine glaubwürdigen Hinweise auf ein iranisches Atomwaffenprogramm mehr erhalten habe. (de)
