Adam Pulchrae Mulieris, also called Adam de Puteorumvilla, was a Paris master who studied under , who flourished in the first half of the 13th century. Little is known of his life. He has been described as one of the “metaphysicians of light” (Robert Grosseteste was another). He was a contemporary of William of Auvergne, Bishop of Paris, and his works are cited by Richard de Fournival, Gerard of Abbeville and Thomas Aquinas. The origin of his name is unknown.

- Adam Pulchrae Mulieris est un philosophe médiéval auquel est attribué le Memoriale rerum difficilium (ou Liber de intelligentiis). Parisien, Adam Pulchrae Mulieris a vécu à la même époque que Guillaume d'Auvergne. Il emprunte à Augustin l'idée que Dieu est lumière et à d'autres philosophes l'idée d'un écoulement de l'être et de la connaissance. Nell'opera si nota che Adamo è in diretta dipendenza dalla metafisica della luce di Roberto Grossatesta, e, riecheggiando motivi neoplatonici, prospetta una deduzione del molteplice dall'Uno secondo un processo scalare che richiama l'insegnamento dello Pseudo-Dionigi l'Areopagita, del Liber de causis e di Avicenna. The only book seriously attributed to him is Memoriale Rerum Difficilium, also known as De Intelligentiis. This was originally attributed to Witelo. It was published as Adam's in 1908 but in the 1930s the question of this attribution was re-opened. (en)
