| - Anthemiolus († 471) war ein Sohn des weströmischen Kaisers Anthemius. Über seine Person ist nur wenig bekannt. In einer spätantiken gallischen Chronik wird berichtet, dass Anthemiolus im Jahr 471 als Militärbefehlshaber (dux) im Auftrag seines Vaters ein weströmisches Heer nach Südgallien gegen die Westgoten führte, um die bedrohte Stadt Arelate zu entsetzen. Das römische Heer wurde aber zuvor von dem Gotenkönig Eurich abgefangen und vernichtet, wobei auch Anthemiolus fiel. Es sollte das letzte Mal sein, dass ein größerer weströmischer Heeresverband in Gallien operierte. Der Verlust dieser Truppen schwächte auch Anthemius, gegen den sein eigener Heermeister Ricimer kurz darauf vorging und ihn 472 hinrichten ließ. (de)

| - Antemiol, en llatí Anthemiolus, (mort l'any 471) era fill de l'emperador romà d'Occident Procopi Antemi (467-472) i de Màrcia Eufèmia, filla de l'emperador romà d'Orient Marcià. El seu nom significa "petit Antemi" un diminutiu del nom del seu pare, Antemi, que servia per distingir-los. Només es coneix la seva vida a través de la de l'any 511. Va ser enviat pel seu pare a la Gàl·lia amb un poderós exèrcit, acompanyat de tres generals, Torisari, Everding i Hermià, per oposar-se als visigots que ocupaven Provença i amenaçaven de conquerir l'Alvèrnia. Van ser derrotats pel rei visigot Euric prop d'Arle i els quatre van perdre la vida. La Chronica, a l'entrada 649, diu: Segons la Chronica Gallica, els fets van passar entre l'accés al poder d'Euric el 467 i la guerra entre Procopi Antemi i Ricimer el 471-472. Probablement es pot concretar més, i datar-ho durant el període en què se sap que Procopi Antemi havia organitzat una força concertada per expulsar els visigots de la Gàl·lia entre el 468 i el 471, en un moment en què un exèrcit dirigit pel britànic Riothamus va ser derrotat prop de Déols. His name means "little Anthemius" and is a diminutive of his and his father's name Anthemius, in order to distinguish them both. His life is known only from the Chronica Gallica of 511. He was sent by his father to Gaul with a powerful army, accompanied by three generals — Thorisarius, Everdingus, and Hermianus — in order to oppose the Visigoths then occupying Provence and threatening to conquer the Auvergne. He and his generals were defeated by the Visigothic king Euric near Arles and all four of them lost their lives. The Chronica, in entry 649, states: Antimolus a patre Anthemio imperatore cum Thorisario, Everdingo et Hermiano com. stabuli Arelate directus est, quibus rex Euricus trans Rhodanum occurrit occisisque ducibus omnia vastavit Antimolus was sent by his father, Emperor Anthemius, to Arles, with Thorisarius, Everdingus and Hermanius, comes [or comites] stabuli: King Euric met them on the far side of the Rhone and, having killed the duces, laid everything waste. According to the Chronica, this event falls between the succession of Euric (467) and the war between Anthemius and Ricimer (471–472). It can probably be further narrowed to the period when Anthemius is known to have been organising a concerted effort to remove the Visigoths from Gaul between 468 and 471, a period during which an army led by the Briton Riothamus was defeated near Déols. It is not impossible that Anthemiolus' army was sent to reinforce Riothamus and that Euric defeated both forces in turn, probably in either 470 or 471. (en)
