The Aonach Eagach (Scottish Gaelic for 'notched ridge') is a large mountain ridge in the Scottish Highlands, marking the northern edge of Glen Coe. It stretches east–west for several miles and includes two Munro summits: Sgùrr nam Fiannaidh at 967 m (3,175 ft) high, and Meall Dearg at 952 m (3,124 ft) high. The ridge is very rocky and the route along it requires scrambling ability. The slopes to each side are extremely dangerous, with steep grass-and-scree slopes hiding even steeper slopes which end in cliffs on both north and south sides of the ridge.

  • Is droim sléibhe creagach é an tAonach Eagach atá suite taobh ó thuaidh de Ghleann Comhann, i nGaeltacht na hAlban, agus é ag maíomh as dhá (Béarla: Munro). Leanann an droim ar aghaidh ar feadh 10 km ó Sgurr na Cíche ar an taobh thiar chuig Staidhir an Diabhail san oirthear. Tá lár an droma, beagnach 2 km ar fhad, an-creagach agus éilíonn an bealach cumas maith streachailte. Tá na fánaí géar ar gach taobh agus thar a bheith contúirteach, le féar agus screathan agus fánaí folaithe níos géire fós níos faide ar aghaidh a chríochnaíonn le haillte ar dhá thaobh an droma, thuaidh agus theas.
