| - Blue Moves je jedenácté studiové album anglického hudebníka Eltona Johna. Vydáno bylo v říjnu roku 1976 společnostmi MCA Records (Spojené státy americké) a (Spojené království). Jeho producentem byl Johnův dlouholetý spolupracovník . Nahráno bylo v březnu 1976 v torontském stuidiu Eastern Sound. Po tři roky starém albu Goodbye Yellow Brick Road jde o Johnovo druhé dvojalbum. - Blue Moves (dt.: Blaue Bewegungen) ist das elfte Studioalbum des britischen Sängers und Komponisten Elton John. Für das Cover wählte John ein erst kurz zuvor für seine eigene Sammlung erworbenes Bild, das der irische Künstler Patrick Procktor gemalt hatte und der es „The Guardian Readers“ nannte. Geplant war, zur Unterstützung des anlaufenden Verkaufs fünfzig Kopien der Langspielplatte der britischen Tageszeitung Sun zur Verfügung zu stellen. Diese sollte im Rahmen eines Leserrätsels die Schallplatten an die Gewinner verteilen. Kurz vor Umsetzung dieser Absicht wies die Sun in einem Artikel in Anspielung auf Johns Sexualität darauf hin, dass auf dem Bild ausschließlich junge Männer und keine Frauen abgebildet seien. Verärgert nahm John daraufhin von diesem Vorhaben Abstand. (de)

Podczas promującego krążek koncertu na stadionie Wembley, Elton John spontanicznie oznajmił: "That's it, this is the last one." ("To tyle. To już ostatni."). Nie powiedział na jak długo, niemniej jednak, na pewien czas opuścił scenę. Elton John zaznaczył, że Blue Moves to jeden z jego ulubionych albumów jakie kiedykolwiek nagrał. - Blue Moves är ett musikalbum av Elton John. Albumet var hans elfte studioalbum och utgavs i oktober 1976 som en dubbel-LP. Efter att albumet färdigställts tog John en paus från turnerande och inspelningar fram till 1978. Bernie Taupin och Elton John bestämde sig också för att ta en kreativ paus i det gemensamma låtskrivandet efter det här albumet. Det förra albumet Rock of the Westies var präglat av hårdrock, medan det här albumet hade mycket mer lugna, mörka och reflekterande låtar.
