Robert Matthew Turnbull McDonald (26 September 1931 – 9 June 2002) was a Canadian professional football player, businessman, insurance agent, public servant and politician. McDonald served as a Progressive Conservative party member of the House of Commons of Canada. After winning two more terms in the 1958 and 1962 federal elections, McDonald was defeated by William Dean Howe of the New Democratic Party in the 1963 election. McDonald served three terms from the 23rd to 25th Canadian Parliaments. McDonald died in June 2002, survived by his wife, two daughters and a son.
