Cancho Roano (sometimes Cancho Ruano) is an archaeological site located in the municipality of Zalamea de la Serena, in the province of Badajoz, Spain. It is located three miles from Zalamea de la Serena in the direction of Quintana de la Serena Quintana, in a small valley along the stream Cagancha.

Se localiza a tres kilómetros de Zalamea en dirección a Quintana de la Serena, en una pequeña vaguada junto al arroyo Cagancha. (es) Cancho Roano, ou Cancho Ruano, est un site archéologique de l'Âge du fer situé dans une petite vallée au bord de la rivière Cagancha, à environ 5 km de Zalamea de la Serena, dans la province de Badajoz, en Espagne. (fr) Cancho Roano és un jaciment arqueològic situat al terme municipal de Zalamea de la Serena, a la província de Badajoz, Espanya. Es localitza a tres quilòmetres de Zalamea en direcció a Quintana de la Serena, en un petit tàlveg al costat del rierol Cagancha. Les excavacions, dirigides per Juan Maluquer de Motes, van començar el 1978. El jaciment va ser declarat Monument Nacional el 1986. En l'actualitat es pot visitar íntegrament, comptant amb un excel·lent Centre d'Interpretació que pertany a la Xarxa de Museus d'Identitat d'Extremadura. (ca) Cancho Roano is een archeologische site in de Spaanse gemeente Zalamea de la Serena. Het is een van de best bewaarde sites van de Tartessische beschaving. In 1978 begon men aan de opgraving van het gebouw, onder leiding van archeoloog , die deze verderzette tot aan zijn dood. Sinds 1986 is het officieel geclassifieerd als nationaal monument, waarbij middelen werden vrijgemaakt voor de plaatsing van een eerste overkapping van de site. Deze overkapping moest watererosie van de lemen muren voorkomen. Het einde van de opgraving naderend, werd een bezoekerscentrum opgericht en in het jaar 2000 een nieuwe overkapping geplaatst. Recentelijk werd echter vastgesteld dat de muren, die meer dan 2000 jaar onder grond hebben gezeten, toch opnieuw worden aangetast door watererosie. (nl) Канчо-Роано или Канчо-Руано (исп. Cancho Roano, Cancho Ruano) — археологический памятник на территории муниципалитета Саламеа-де-ла-Серена в провинции Бадахос (Испания). Находится в 3 км от г. Саламеа по направлению к Кинтана-де-ла-Серена, в небольшой долине у речки Каганча. По своему внешнему виду памятник напоминает ближневосточный зиккурат, тогда как для западной Европы его конструкция необычна. (ru)
