Carlo Maria Bascapè (25 October 1550 – 6 October 1615) - born Giovanni Francesco Bascapè - was an Italian Roman Catholic prelate who served as Bishop of Novara from 1593 until his death. He was a close friend of Saint Charles Borromeo and assumed the first half of his religious name in honor of him. Bascapè became titled as Venerable on 19 December 2005 - on the road to possible sainthood - after Pope Benedict XVI confirmed his heroic virtue.

Il fut le secrétaire et ami de saint Charles Borromée, le supérieur général de l'Ordre des Barnabites puis l'évêque de Novare de 1593 à sa mort. Acteur de la Contre-Réforme, il institua dans ce but la congrégation des Oblats des Saints Gaudence et Charles. Carlo Bescapè est aussi connu pour avoir donné une importante impulsion aux Sacri Monti du Piémont et de Lombardie. Il est reconnu vénérable par l'Église catholique. (fr)
