De handschriften zijn door christenen in het Grieks geschreven.De groep bestaat uit elf handschriften, zeven bestaan uit gedeelten van boeken van het Oude Testament en drie van het Nieuwe Testament (papyrus 45, 46 en 47). Eén bestaat uit delen van het Eerste boek van Henoch en delen van een ons verder onbekende preek. De meeste dateren uit de derde eeuw. - Papirusy Chestera Beatty’ego – grupa wczesnych rękopisów biblijnych z kolekcji Chestera Beatty’ego, który zakupił większość z nich. Rękopisy są pisane na papirusie w języku greckim i mają chrześcijańskie pochodzenie. W kolekcji znalazło się dwanaście rękopisów Septuaginty, trzy zawierają partie Nowego Testamentu, dwa zawierają teksty apokryficzne a inne literaturę kapłańską i mądrościową. - Chester Beatty-papyri är en stor samling papyrusmanuskript med texter från Gamla Testamentet och Nya Testamentet, några ark innehåller också skrifter om medicin och andra ämnen. Den medicinska texten är den äldsta bevarade skriften om ändtarmssjukdomar. - La Chester Beatty Papyri és una col·lecció de manuscrits de textos bíblics escrits sobre papir. Els manuscrits estan en idioma grec i són d'origen cristià. Hi ha onze manuscrits en el grup, set d'ells són llibres de l'Antic Testament, tres són del Nou Testament, i un és part del Llibre d'Henoc i de litúrgia cristiana no identificada. La major part estan datats en el segle iii i es conserven en la i una altra part en la Universitat de Michigan.

Rukopis obsahuje na lícové straně rozsáhlý mytologický příběh s názvem „Spor Hora se Sutechem“ (v angličtině The Contendings of Horus and Seth) a na rubové straně obsahuje řadu různých literárních textů, které můžeme rozčlenit na: Papyrus nese název po sběrateli Alfredu Chester Beattymu, který rukopis koupil a svoji sbírku odkázal veřejným knihovnám. V současné době se papyrus nachází v Dublinu v knihovně Chestera Beattyho. (cs)

Sie enthalten Texte aus dem Alten Testament, dem Neuen Testament, eines besteht aus Teilen des apokryphen Henochbuchs und einer frühchristlichen Homilie. Sie entstanden alle in christlichen Gemeinden in Ägypten und werden größtenteils auf das 3. und 4. Jahrhundert datiert. - The Chester Beatty Biblical Papyri or simply the Chester Beatty Papyri are a group of early papyrus manuscripts of biblical texts. The manuscripts are in Greek and are of Christian origin.
