Emir is a type of white grape native to the Cappadocia region of Turkey. It is mostly planted in the Cappadocia and Nevşehir provinces in Turkey. Emir can be used to make several different kinds of wine. One type, which is a straw yellow color with green reflections, has a green apple, kiwi, lemon and orange aroma. Sparkling wines can also be made from Emir, which are light, delicate, and medium bodied with a light yellow color and high acidity. Emir doesn't match with oak barrel and generally should be consumed in 1 – 2 years.
