Gayhurst House (now known as Gayhurst Court) is a late-Elizabethan country house in Buckinghamshire. It is located near the village of Gayhurst, several kilometres north of Milton Keynes. The earliest house dates from the 1520s. In 1597 it was greatly expanded by William Moulsoe. His son-in-law, Everard Digby, completed the rebuilding, prior to his execution in 1606 for participating in the Gunpowder Plot. The house was subsequently owned by the Wrightes, and latterly the Carringtons. Robert Carrington engaged William Burges who undertook much remodelling of both the house and the estate, although his plans for Gayhurst were more extensive still.   • Gayhurst House är ett engelskt country house från sent under den elisabetanska eran som ligger i Buckinghamshire i sydöstra England (i närheten av orten Gayhurst). Herrgården byggdes ut 1597 av William Moulsoe och färdigställdes sedan av Everard Digby, en av krutkonspiratörerna. Trots att Digby dömdes för högförräderi efter konspirationens misslyckande fick hans fru Mary behålla herrgården. Gayhurst House togs sedan över av Digbys son, Kenelm Digby. 1704 såldes herrgården till Nathan Wrighte och den genomgick en stor renovering 1858–1872 av arkitekten William Burges för Robert Carrington, 2:e baron Carrington och hans son.
