Relativement prospère, elle fonde à son tour une abbaye-fille en 1273, celle de Sweetheart. L'abbaye est confrontée à la dissolution des monastères ; toutefois, les moines sont autorisés à terminer leur vie dans leur abbaye avant que celle-ci ne soit confisquée. À la mort du dernier d'entre eux, en 1602, elle est définitivement fermée. (fr) Glenluce Abbey is (de ruïne van) een cisterciënzer abdij uit de twaalfde eeuw, gelegen ruim drie kilometer ten noordwesten van in de Schotse regio Dumfries and Galloway. Met de reformatie in 1560 begon het einde van de abdij. In het begin van de zeventiende eeuw was Glenluce een tijdelijk Lordship. Het best bewaard zijn de zestiende-eeuwse kapittelzaal en de gevel van het zuidelijke transept. (nl)
