| - Die HMS B11 war ein Unterseeboot der der britischen Royal Navy, das zu Beginn des Ersten Weltkrieges bereits als veraltet gelten durfte, sich aber während des Dardanellen-Feldzuges besonders auszeichnete, als es als erstes britisches U-Boot die Minensperren der Dardanellen überwand und dahinter ein türkisches Panzerschiff versenkte. - HMS B11 was the last of 11 B-class submarines built for the Royal Navy in the first decade of the 20th century. Completed in 1906, it is best known for carrying out a successful attack on the Ottoman battleship Mesûdiye in the Dardanelles, an action for which her captain received the Victoria Cross. It spent the remainder of its active life serving in the Mediterranean, being converted into a surface patrol boat late in the war. B11 was sold for scrap in 1919. (en)

Il a passé le reste de sa carrière en service en mer Méditerranée, converti en patrouilleur de surface vers la fin de la guerre. - HMS B11 – brytyjski okręt podwodny typu . Zbudowany w latach 1905–1906 w stoczni Vickers w Barrow-in-Furness, gdzie okręt został wodowany 21 lutego 1906 roku. Rozpoczął służbę w Royal Navy 11 lipca 1906 roku. W grudniu 1913 roku dowódcą okrętu został mianowany . Po wybuchu I wojny światowej okręty B6, B7, B8, B9, B10 i B11 zostały skierowane najpierw do Gibraltaru, a następnie na Morze Śródziemne. W 1914 roku B11 stacjonował na Malcie przydzielony do HMS „Egmont”, pod dowództwem Lt. Samuela M.G. Gravenera, a następnie w porcie Mudros na wyspie Limnos. (pl)
