- Hailes Abbey is a former Cistercian abbey, in the small village of Hailes, two miles northeast of Winchcombe, Gloucestershire, England. It was founded in 1246 as a daughter establishment of Beaulieu Abbey. The abbey was dissolved by Henry VIII in 1539. Little remains of the abbey. It is a Grade I listed building and a scheduled monument. The site is owned by the National Trust but managed by English Heritage. There is a museum on the site holding many artefacts from the Abbey. La abatejo estis fondata en 1245 aŭ 1246 de Rikardo (1-a Grafo de Kornvalo), pli juna frato de Henriko la 3-a (Anglio). Ĝi konsekriĝis per grandioza rito ĉeestata de Henriko la 3-a, ties edzino Eleanora de Provenco, kaj 15 episkopoj. En 1270 , filo de Rikardo (1-a Grafo de Kornvalo), donis al la abatejo flakoneton enhavantan, laŭkrede, iom da la sango de Jesuo Kristo: pro tio la abtejo iĝis grava pilgrimcelo kaj tiom riĉiĝis ke la monaĥoj povis ege pligrandigi la abatejon.
