The Idaho Youth Ranch (IYR) is a non-profit, multi-service charity in Idaho, USA. It was founded in 1953 by James and Ruby Carey Crowe. Idaho Youth Ranch programs include adoptions, alternative education, foster care recruitment and training, vocational training, family counseling, case management, aftercare, independent living services, crisis shelter, community-based group homes and a therapeutic residential program (500 acres, the “Ranch”). IYR also owns and operates thrift stores throughout Idaho that serve as a source of revenue and an employment opportunity for youth in IYR's programs.
