Regimental Sergeant Major James Clarke VC (6 April 1894 – 16 June 1947) was an English recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces. No. 37721 Sjt. John [sic] Clarke, 15th Bn., Lanc. Fus (Rochdale). The forename in the original citation was subsequently corrected.
