Jerzy Sarnecki (Polish pronunciation: [ˈjɛʐɨ s̪arˈn̪ɛt͡skʲi]; born 7 July 1947) is a Swedish and Polish professor in criminology at Stockholm University in Sweden. Sarnecki was born in 1947 in Warsaw, Poland. His family is Jewish. During the 1968 Polish political crisis, his father was fired, allegedly because he was Jewish. Sarnecki lives in Lidingö in Stockholm. Sarnecki is frequently invited to comment on current affairs by public service broadcaster Swedish Radio and has participated in the programs Radio P4, Godmorgon, världen!, Dagens Eko, and Tankesmedjan.
