Johannes Lid (11 January 1886 – 29 September 1971) was a Norwegian botanist. He was born in Voss, and he married to the illustrator Dagny Tande Lid in 1936. He is particularly known for his works on Scandinavian flora, and for his widely used handbook to plants Norsk flora, with illustrations by his wife Dagny Tande Lid. He co-founded and chaired the Norwegian Botanical Association from 1935 to 1942. From 1948 onward he served as a curator at the Botanical Museum in Oslo. After his retirement in 1956, he carried out in-depth studies of the flora of the Canary Islands. He became a fellow of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters in 1945 and received the King's Medal of Merit in gold in 1956.

- Johannes Lid (21 de octubre de 1894 - 8 de marzo de 1979) fue un botánico, pteridólogo, y briólogo noruego. Era hermano del etnólogo Nils Lid. Fue curador en el Museo Botánico de la Universidad de Oslo (ahora el Museo de Historia Natural de la Universidad de Oslo) desde 1919 hasta 1956. Es muy conocido por haber escrito la "Flora Noruega", libro publicado por primera vez en 1944 y aproximadamente diez años en una nueva edición, la última en 2005 (7ª ed.) El manual cubre las plantas silvestres en Noruega. El libro es considerada como la obra de referencia para la flora de Noruega. Está ilustrado por su esposa , distinguida como ilustradora y autora de otras obras. Desde 1954 visitó frecuentemente las islas Canarias (por lo menos nueve veces, colectando plantas y contribuyendo continuamente al conocimiento de la flora canaria. Esos viajes los publicó en Norske Videnskaps (Contribuciones a la Flora de las islas Canarias), Oslo 1967, 1968, obra que sigue la tradición noruega del explorador Christen Smith (l785-1816), un investigador muy familiar a los fitólogos de Canarias.
