John Milton Goodenow (1782 – July 20, 1838) was a U.S. Representative from Ohio. Born in Westmoreland, New Hampshire, Goodenow attended the public schools.He engaged in mercantile pursuits.He studied law.He was admitted to the bar and commenced practice in Steubenville, Ohio, in 1813.He was appointed collector of direct taxes and internal duties for the sixth collection district of Ohio in 1817.He served as member of the State house of representatives in 1823. He served the Freemasons as Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Ohio in 1827.
