Kevin Richard Baez (born January 10, 1967) is an American former Major League Baseball player. He was a shortstop for the New York Mets in 1990, 1992 and 1993. Baez attended college at Dominican College and was drafted by the New York Mets in the 7th round in 1988. He made his debut on September 3, 1990. In 63 career games, he was 27 for 126 (a .179 average). He had 7 career RBIs. Baez played in his final game on October 3, 1993. Baez has also served as the manager and third base coach of the Long Island Ducks. In 2007 Baez spent most of the season coaching in the Mets organization.
