Saint Laud of Coutances (variants: Lauto, Laudo, Launus, popularly: Saint Lô) was the fifth bishop of Coutances and is venerated as a saint in the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Churches. He was born in Courcy, near Coutances, in the 6th century AD and became bishop of Coutances around 525. The town of Briovere, associated with the saint, took his name and is now Saint-Lô in Normandy. He met with a conclave of bishops at Angers in 529 or 530. He is commemorated September 21 in the French Martyrology, and September 22 in the Roman Martyrology.

Bezeugt ist die Teilnahme von Laudus an den Synoden von Orléans der Jahre 533, 538, 541 und 549. Ihm wurden besonders Hirteneifer und Nächstenliebe zugeschrieben. Um 875 sollen seine Reliquien nach Bayeux übertragen worden sein; weitere sterbliche Überreste sollen sich u. a. in Rouen, Angers und Saint-Lô befunden haben. Eine Verehrung des Laudus ist seit dem neunten Jahrhundert belegbar. Er ist Hauptpatron der Diözese Coutances mit eigenem Messformular. Sein Gedenktag ist der 21. September. Szczególnym miejscem kultu św. Laudo stało się Agnes. Jego relikwie uległy rozproszeniu. Jego wspomnienie obchodzone jest 21 września.
