The Lightweight Helmet (LWH), also known as the Lightweight Marine Corps Helmet or Lightweight Marine Helmet, is an armored helmet that is used by the United States Marine Corps and U.S. Navy. It is the U.S. Marine Corps' replacement for the PASGT combat helmet and is derived from the Modular Integrated Communications Helmet.

L'elmetto, realizzato prevalentemente in Kevlar, è stato distribuito a partire dalla fine del 2004 in sostituzione del vecchio modello facente parte del pacchetto PASGT. Il nuovo elmetto risulta più leggero del PASGT pur essendo dotato delle medesime capacità di protezione; risulta invece più grosso e pesante del MICH TC-2000 attualmente adottato dall'US Army e dai reparti speciali della US Navy, USAF e USMC: la maggiore dimensione fornisce tuttavia protezione aggiuntiva.A partire dal 2007 l'elmetto è affiancato da una protezione per la nuca. Il est difficile, pour des yeux non experts, de le différencier du casque PASGT, ses formes étant presque identiques. En dehors des Marines, il est aussi appelé le casque Fritz du fait de sa ressemblance avec l'ancien casque allemand, ou K-Pot du fait de sa construction en Kevlar. Bien que plus lourd que l (en) de l'US Army, sa plus grande taille offre une meilleure protection. Il est plus léger que le PASGT et doté d'une sangle en V au niveau du cou et d'une forme plus adaptée, il est aussi beaucoup plus confortable que celui-ci. Le Lightweight Helmet est entré en service à la fin de 2004 et a complètement remplacé le PASGT en 2009. (fr)
