The Ministry of the Popular Power for the Communal Economy (MINEP), also known as the Ministry for Popular Economy, is a ministry of the government of Venezuela which was created by Hugo Chávez in 2004. Succeeding the , MINEP manages government relations with, and funding of, local and national cooperatives and microbusinesses.

Creado originalmente bajo el nombre de Ministerio del Poder Popular para la Economía Popular, fue transformado en marzo de 2009 en el Ministerio del Poder Popular para las Comunas, absorbiendo también algunas de las competencias del Ministerio del Poder Popular para la Participación y Protección Social.
