Miriam Palma Defensor-Santiago GCS QSC RMA (née Defensor; 15 June 1945 – 29 September 2016) was a Filipino scholar, academic, lawyer, judge, author, and stateswoman who served in all three branches of the Philippine government: judicial, executive, and legislative. Defensor Santiago was named one of The 100 Most Powerful Women in the World in 1997 by The Australian. She was known for being a long-serving Senator of the Republic of the Philippines, an elected judge of the International Criminal Court, and the sole female recipient of the Philippines' highest national honor, the Quezon Service Cross.

September 2016 in Taguig, Metro Manila) war eine philippinische Juristin, Journalistin und Politikerin, die 1992, 1998 und 2016 erfolglos für das Amt des Präsidenten der Philippinen kandidierte sowie zwischen 1995 und 2001 und wieder seit 2004 Senatorin war. Im November 2011 wurde sie zur Richterin am Internationalen Strafgerichtshof in Den Haag gewählt und trat dieses Amt im März 2012 offiziell an, behielt aber trotzdem ihren Senatssitz. Sie war damit die erste philippinische Staatsangehörige und zugleich die erste aus einem asiatischen Entwicklungsland stammende IStGH-Richterin. Am 3. Zes jaar later werd ze herkozen. In 2011 werd ze gekozen tot rechter van het Internationaal Strafhof in Den Haag. Ze trok zich uiteindelijk echter terug wegens gezondheidsproblemen. Defensor-Santiago deed drie maal mee aan de Filipijnse presidentsverkiezingen. In 1992 eindigde ze als tweede achter Fidel Ramos. In 1998 en in 2016 haalde ze veel minder stemmen.
