Monchy & Alexandra were a bachata musical group from the Dominican Republic. They sang together as a duo beginning in 1998. Their first big hit was "Hoja en Blanco", which they released in 1999. Since then, they had many other hits, such as "Hasta el Fin" and "Perdidos", both from their 2004 album Hasta el Fin, as well as "No Es Una Novela" from their 2006 Éxitos y Más album. They have been often credited with being instrumental in popularizing bachata music outside of the Dominican Republic.

Monchy a reformé un nouveau duo, Monchy y Natalia, et Alexandra a continué en solo sous le surnom qu'on lui attribué : Alexandra "La Reina de la Bachata". Le duo se reforme en 2019 à l'occasion de l'enregistrement de l'album Utopia de Romeo Santos qui les a invité pour un duo avec eux, Años Luz. (fr)

Editaron su primer álbum en 1999 y se hicieron conocer, nacional e internacionalmente, con la canción Hoja en Blanco, y en el 2003 con la canción Dos locos. En el 2006, Alexandra fue invitada a participar, junto a de Los Ilegales, en el tema Yo no soy la otra. El dúo se separó en 2008 para dedicarse a sus proyectos personales. (es)
