The Mora witch trial, which took place in Mora, Sweden, in 1669, is the most internationally famous Swedish witch trial. Reports of the trial spread throughout Europe, and a provocative German illustration of the execution is considered to have had some influence on the Salem witch trials. It was the first mass execution during the great Swedish witch hunt of 1668–1676.

On considère qu'une illustration allemande célèbre a eu une influence sur le procès des sorcières de Salem en 1692, mais celle-là est incorrecte car les condamnées n'ont pas été exécutées en étant brûlées vives avec du feu, comme c'était le cas en Allemagne mais non pas en Suède. Det handlade om barn som blev bortförda till Satan på Blåkulla av häxor där de döpts och invigts till Djävulens tjänst. Människor som redan misstänktes för trolldom pekades ut som skyldiga. Det var en ren hysteri och utlöste den stora svenska häxjakten som kallats Det stora oväsendet 1668–1676. (sv)
