Nintendo Campus Challenge was a video game competition sponsored by Nintendo and held at nearly 60 college campuses and other events throughout the United States, including a Canadian Tour. There were two Campus Challenge events, one in 1991 and another in 1992. Nintendo released 25 games with the specially created black cartridges to celebrate the event, today these are among the rarest and most valuable games in the world since only 25 units were manufactured. It is believed that game number 20 was awarded to Steven Lucas who ended up being the event champion in the inaugural championship of 1991.
