Olav Kallenberg (born 1939) is a probability theorist known for his work on exchangeable stochastic processes and for his graduate-level textbooks and monographs. Kallenberg is a professor of mathematics at Auburn University in Alabama in the USA. From 1991 to 1994, Kallenberg served as the Editor-in-Chief of Probability Theory and Related Fields (a leading journal in probability).

Olav Kallenberg utbildade sig i Sverige med en civilingenjörsexamen i teknisk fysik 1963 från Kungliga Tekniska högskolan i Stockholm, där han fortsatte som doktorand i matematisk statistik fram till teknologie licentiat. Efter flera år med svagt intresse för forskning, vände det åter och på ett halvår fullföljde han sin doktorsavhandling 1972 vid Chalmers tekniska högskola, där han blev kvar som föreläsare en tid. Han är professor i matematik och statistik vid Auburn University i Auburn, Alabama, USA. (sv) Olav Kallenberg, (* 1939) ist ein schwedischer Mathematiker, der sich mit Stochastik befasst. Kallenberg studierte Physikingenieurwesen an der Königlichen Technischen Hochschule in Stockholm (Abschluss 1963) und arbeitete dann in einer Beratungsfirma für Operations Research in Göteborg. Dort wurde er 1972 an der Technischen Hochschule Chalmers bei Harald Bergström promoviert (Characterization and Convergence of Random Measures and Point Processes). Er lehrte an der TH Chalmers, war Professor an der Universität Uppsala und ist seit 1986 Professor an der Auburn University. (de)
