Panos Koronaios (Greek: Πάνος Κορωναίος) was a Hellenic Army officer who reached the rank of lieutenant general, and a prominent military leader in the overthrow of King Otto of Greece in 1862 and in the Cretan Revolt of 1866–1869. When the Hellenic Military Academy was established in 1828, he entered as one of the first students, and was commissioned the first Greek artillery officer with the rank of adjutant. He died at Athens in 1899.

Hij heeft deelgenomen aan vele oorlogen en kreeg al evenveel onderscheidingen. Hij werd twee keer minister voor Militaire Aangelegenheden van het Koninkrijk Griekenland. Door de Algemene Assemblee van Kreta werd hij benoemd tot leider der Krijgsverrichtingen van de Divisie . Met die leidersfunctie belandde hij dus in Rethimnon in 1866. Zodra kolonel Koroneos in het Arkadi-klooster arriveerde, deelde hij wapens uit, moedigde de opstandelingen aan en ging hij over tot het organiseren en trainen van het vrijwilligerskorps.
