Pelham Humfrey (Humphrey, Humphrys) (1647 in London – 14 July 1674 in Windsor) was an English composer. He was the first of the new generation of English composers at the beginning of the Restoration to rise to prominence.

Infant de cor de la Capella Reial el 1960, era molt conegut i el rei el pensionà i l'envià a França i Itàlia, en la capital francesa fou alumne de Lully. El 1672 fou mestre dels infants de la Capella Reial i més tard fou nomenat director de l'orquestra particular del rei. Malgré sa mort à l'âge de 27 ans, il a exercé une forte influence sur ses pairs, même dans son jeune âge, y compris sur Henry Purcell dont il fut l'un des professeurs et John Blow. Sa disparition prématurée doit être considérée comme l'une des plus grandes tragédies de l'histoire de la musique anglaise ; à sa mort il avait déjà composé plusieurs œuvres poignantes et d'un grand pouvoir expressif.
