Phanote or Phanota (Ancient Greek: Φανότη), or Phanoteia (Φανωτεία), was a strongly fortified ancient Greek town of Chaonia located in the region of Epirus. The town's location was of military/strategic importance as it stood in the midst of a valley surrounded by an amphitheatre of mountains, through which there are only two narrow passes. It lies about halfway between the sea and the Antigonean passes, and was therefore of importance to the Romans when they were advancing from Illyria in 169 BCE. Its site is tentatively located near the modern Raveni.

- Fánote (en latín, Phanote) fue una antigua ciudad griega en la región de Epiro. Durante la tercera guerra macedónica, en el 169 a. C., Fánote, que estaba fortificada, fue atacada por un ejército de 6000 hombres entre los que había soldados de Caonia y Tesprotia bajo el mando del romano , pero tal expedición resultó un fracaso debido a la resistencia de la guarnición que había dejado Perseo de Macedonia. Sus habitantes son mencionados también por Polibio. Se localiza en una colina cerca de la actual . (es)

| - Η Αρχαία Φανοτή (Ντόλιανη) αποτελεί αρχαιολογικό χώρο στο Δήμο Παραποτάμου Θεσπρωτίας, 16 χλμ. δυτικά της Ηγουμενίτσας. Αποτελεί έναν τειχισμένο με διπλό οχυρωματικό περίβολο οικισμό, ο οποίος υπήρξε κέντρο του αρχαίου θεσπρωτικού φύλου των , που πιστεύεται ότι κατοικούσε στην περιοχή μεταξύ της Μουργκάνας και του μέσου ποταμού Καλαμά. Η , τη γνωστή και από τη φιλολογική παράδοση (Πολύβιος, Λίβιος), διαδραμάτισε σημαντικό ρόλο κατά τη διάρκεια του τελευταίου Μακεδονικού πολέμου. Ο αρχαίος οικισμός, πάνω σε φυσικά οχυρό λόφο ύψους 85 μ. δίπλα ακριβώς από τον Καλαμά, ανάμεσα στα χωριά Αγ. Γεώργιος και Γεροπλάτανος, έχει έκταση 53 στρέμματα. Άλλες σημαντικές αρχαίες πόλεις στό Νομό Θεσπρωτίας ήταν και είναι σήμερα επισκέψιμες:
