| - Le Philadelphia Daily News est un tabloïd américain publié dans la ville de Philadelphie. Il a été créé le 31 mars 1925 par le rédacteur en chef Lee Ellmaker. Au départ, le journal se consacrait essentiellement à la criminalité, aux sport, et aux histoires sensationnelles. Dès 1930, le tirage quotidien du journal dépassait les 200 000 exemplaires, cependant, ce dernier n'a cessé de chuter, et le journal est aujourd'hui encore en proie à des difficultés financières. The newspaper is owned by The Philadelphia Inquirer, LLC, which also owns Philadelphia's other major newspaper The Philadelphia Inquirer. The Daily News began publishing on March 31, 1925, under founding editor Lee Ellmaker. By 1930, the newspaper's circulation exceeded 200,000, but by the 1950s the news paper was losing money. In 1954, the newspaper was sold to Matthew McCloskey and then sold again in 1957 to publisher Walter Annenberg. (en)
