Phillip Ritzenberg (June 22, 1931 – May 26, 2022) was an American journalist. He was known for his contributing work on the newspaper New York Daily News and The Jewish Week. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Gertrude and Jack Ritzenberg, Ritzenberg attended the Case Western Reserve University, where he later graduated in 1953. He then attended the Humboldt University of Berlin, where he was in the Fulbright Program. Ritzenberg served as a United States Navy officer for the USS Midway (CV-41), which was an aircraft carrier. He also served as a reserve officer in Brooklyn, New York's Floyd Bennett Field. Ritzenberg worked at his father's printing shop.

He left the newspaper company in 1982 for which Ritzenberg was then hired to work as a journalist for The Jewish Week. He had a poster that seemed promotional called "What Would Phil Do?". In 1992, Ritzenberg had made an announcement about leaving, on working at The Jewish Week in New York at an early month of 1993. He served as one of the founders of the Society for News Design, in which Ritzenberg was honored with the Society for News Design Lifetime Achievement Award in 2008. Ritzenberg died of cancer in May 2022, at the age of 90. He was cremated. (en)
