| - Pool of Radiance ist ein Computer-Rollenspiel des US-amerikanischen Spieleentwicklers Strategic Simulations, Inc. (SSI) aus dem Jahr 1988. Es ist das erste von insgesamt 35 Spielen, die SSI bis 1996 im Rahmen eines exklusiven Lizenzabkommens mit TSR, dem Hersteller des Rollenspielregelwerks Advanced Dungeons & Dragons (AD&D), veröffentlichte. Pool of Radiance bildete weiterhin den Auftakt zu einer vierteiligen Reihe zusammenhängender Spiele, die aufgrund derselben technischen Grundlage als sogenannte Gold-Box-Reihe bezeichnet wurde und noch weitere Ableger mit eigenständiger Handlung hervorbrachte, unter anderem das erste grafische MMORPG Neverwinter Nights. - Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Pool of Radiance es un videojuego de rol que fue el primero en ser lanzada en 1988 para la computadora, bajo el nombre de , y adaptado al Famicom (versión japonesa del NES) en 1991 y para el NES en 1990. Este utilizó el motor introducido por su versión de 1988 y luego mejorado en . El juego (y el motor) presenta dos modos diferentes: perspectiva en primera persona para interacciones y exploración de PNJ y una visualización de combate basada más en el tablero de estrategia, donde los personajes y los enemigos están representados por iconos pequeños. Il gioco fu il primo a riprodurre in versione elettronica il regolamento di Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, il noto gioco di ruolo da tavolo, più precisamente l'ambientazione dei Forgotten Realms. Successivamente uscì anche per Apple II, Mac OS e Amiga, mentre la Pony Canyon lo pubblicò per i computer giapponesi PC-88, PC-98 e Sharp X1 e per la console NES. - 『プール・オブ・レイディアンス』 (英語: Pool of Radiance) は、1988年6月にアメリカ合衆国のStrategic Simulations (SSI) から発売されたPC/AT互換機用ロールプレイングゲーム。テーブルトークRPG『アドバンスト・ダンジョンズ&ドラゴンズ』第1版をベースにしている。 ストーリーは、モンスターに占領され廃墟となったフラン市をモンスターの手から取り戻すというもの。市役所から依頼されるクエストを順次こなしていくという形でゲームが進行する。全体のボリュームはそれほど大きくはないが、ひとつひとつのクエストが丁寧に作られ、プレイヤーの選択次第で多様な展開をみせる。当時のコンピュータRPGはクエストの解決方法が決まっているものが多かったが、本作はひとつのクエストに対して複数の解決方法が用意されているなど、テーブルトークRPGのシナリオを意識した構成になっている点が特徴的である。 開発はStrategic Simulationsが行い、プロジェクト・マネージャーはパソコン用ソフト『』（1984年）を手掛けたチャールズ・J・クローゲル・ジュニア、音楽はパソコン用ソフト『バーズテイル』（1985年）を手掛けたデヴィッド・ウォーホルが担当している。 (ja)
