Septimus (Latin pronunciation: [ˈsɛptɪmʊs]) is a Latin praenomen, or personal name. It was never particularly common at Rome, but it gave rise to the patronymic gens Septimia. The feminine form is Septima. The name was not regularly abbreviated.
