The Single Resolution Mechanism (SRM) is one of the pillars of the European Union's banking union. The Single Resolution Mechanism entered into force on 19 August 2014 and is directly responsible for the resolution of the entities and groups directly supervised by the European Central Bank as well as other cross-border groups. The centralised decision making is built around the Single Resolution Board (SRB) consisting of a Chair, a Vice Chair, four permanent members, and the relevant national resolution authorities (those where the bank has its headquarters as well as branches and/or subsidiaries).

- Ο Ενιαίος Μηχανισμός Εξυγίανσης (EME) είναι ένας από τους πυλώνες της τραπεζικής ένωσης της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης . Ο Ενιαίος Μηχανισμός Εξυγίανσης τέθηκε σε ισχύ στις 19 Αυγούστου 2014. Μετά από γνωστοποίηση από την ΕΚΤ ότι μια τράπεζα αποτυγχάνει ή ενδέχεται να αποτύχει, το συμβούλιο εγκρίνει σχέδιο εξυγίανσης που περιλαμβάνει τα σχετικά μέσα επίλυσης διαφορών και οποιαδήποτε χρήση του Ταμείου Ενιαίας Διευκόλυνσης, που θεσπίστηκε με την Ευρωπαϊκή Οδηγία αριθ. 806/2014. Το Ταμείο Ενιαίας Διευκόλυνσης συμβάλλει στην εξασφάλιση ομοιόμορφης διοικητικής πρακτικής στη χρηματοδότηση της επίλυσης στο πλαίσιο του ΕΥΚ. - El Mecanismo Único de Resolución (MUR) es uno de los pilares de la unión bancaria de la Unión Europea y es el encargado de poner en marcha en los Estados miembros participantes la Directiva de recuperación y resolución bancaria, marco legal para la recuperación y resolución de entidades de crédito y empresas de servicios próximas a una situación de inviabilidad. El MUR se creó a través de un Reglamento europeo que entró en vigor el 19 de agosto de 2014. Se prevé la creación de un Fondo Único de Resolución (FUR) que financie la reestructuración de entidades en peligro como una parte primordial del MUR a través de un acuerdo intergubernamental complementario, cuya ratificación está pendiente.
