Stanwix is a populated place situated in Maricopa County, Arizona, United States. Settled in 1858, it was originally called The Dutchmans. By 1860 it was known as Stanwix Station, named for a local settler. It has also been called Grinnell Station and Stanvix Hall at other points in history. It has an estimated elevation of 548 feet (167 m) above sea level. It is located on the Union Pacific Railroad's Gila Subdivision.
