The Hymn of Leuthen (German: Der Choral von Leuthen) is a 1933 German film depicting Frederick the Great, directed by Carl Froelich starring Otto Gebühr, Olga Tschechowa and Elga Brink. It was part of the cycle of nostalgic Prussian films popular during the Weimar and Nazi eras. The title refers to the 1757 Battle of Leuthen. The film was loosely based on the novel Fridericus by Walter von Molo. It presented Frederick as an inspired leader. The film's sets were designed by the art director Franz Schroedter. The film premiered four days after Adolf Hitler became chancellor of the Reich.

La Battaglia di Leuthen che si svolse il 5 dicembre 1757 durante la Guerra dei Sette Anni, vide schierati l'esercito prussiano, guidato da Federico II, e l'esercito austriaco, sotto il comando del principe Carlo Alessandro di Lorena. Anche con forze numericamente inferiori, i prussiani vinsero la battaglia. Quella sera, venticinquemila soldati prussiani intonarono spontaneamente l'inno religioso Nun danket alle Gott (che si può tradurre come "Ora ringraziamo tutti dio") che da quel momento è ricordato anche come "Der Choral von Leuthen", diventando un inno patriottico, prima in Prussia e, quindi, nel Reich.
