| - Tyranny of Souls je šesté studiové album anglického zpěváka Bruce Dickinsona. Vydalo jej dne 23. května 2005 hudební vydavatelství Sanctuary Records a jeho producentem byl kytarista . Jde o jeho první album od roku 1998, kdy vyšlo The Chemical Wedding. Zároveň jde o první a jedinou desku vydanou po jeho návratu do kapely Iron Maiden. Na obalu alba se nachází malba renesančního umělce Hanse Memlinga. (cs)

- Tyranny of Souls is the sixth studio album released by Iron Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson on 23 May 2005. The cover art is one of the panels of Earthly Vanity and Divine Salvation, a work by renaissance artist Hans Memling. It is his first solo album since rejoining Iron Maiden in 1999 and his most recent studio album as a solo artist to date. "Kill Devil Hill" is inspired by the successful flight by the Wright brothers in 1903 (see Kill Devil Hills). The title track is somewhat based on Shakespeare's tragedy MacBeth, and includes direct quotes and lines from the play throughout the song. (en)

Bruce Dickinson revient pour la première fois en solo depuis qu'il a réintégré Iron Maiden en 1999. Il est accompagné par Roy Z qui assure la production ainsi que toutes les guitares de l'album. Cet album, réalisé après Dance of Death d'Iron Maiden, est ancré dans l'optique d'un successeur à The Chemical Wedding. L'album commence par une introduction chaotique qui annonce un album très sombre mais qui est suivi de deux titres extrêmement dynamiques où Bruce Dickinson prouve qu'il n'a pas perdu sa voix. Jest to pierwszy solowy krążek od czasu ponownego wstąpienia do Iron Maiden. Pisaniem tekstów na płytę zajmował się Roy Z i Dickinson. W czasie gdy Bruce koncertował razem ze swoim zespołem, Roy przesyłał mu swoje pomysły, a wokalista wymyślał do nich teksty oraz melodie. W sukcesie Dickinsonowi w bardzo dużym stopniu pomógł właśnie Roy - zajmował się partiami basowymi oraz klawiszowymi. (pl)

Samtliga låtar skrevs tillsammans med Roy Z, som även varit hans huvudsakliga samarbetspartner på Balls to Picasso, Accident of Birth och The Chemical Wedding. Inför detta album skrev Roy Z riff som han skickade till Dickinson, varpå Dickinson gick promenader med musiken i hörlurar och skrev text och sångmelodi. Mycket av albumet skrevs medan Dickinson var på turné med Iron Maiden. (sv)
