- Der Universal Automatic Computer oder UNIVAC ist ein Computer aus dem Jahr 1951, der von J. Presper Eckert und John W. Er war damals mit einer Million Dollar für normale Bürger aber wohl kaum zu bezahlen. Der UNIVAC nutzte erstmals als externen Speicher ein Magnetband.
