Union Station has been a National Historic Site of Canada since 1975, and a Heritage Railway Station since 1989. It is operated by the Toronto Terminals Railway, a joint venture of the Canadian National Railway and Canadian Pacific Railway that directs and controls train movement along the Union Station Rail Corridor, the largest and busiest rail corridor in Canada. De , de in 2015 geopende treinverbinding met de Toronto Pearson International Airport, maakt eveneens gebruik van dit station. Stacja w najbliższym czasie ma zostać przebudowana, utworzony ma być między innymi wyłączony z ruchu plac przed budynkiem. Na stacji spotykają się wszystkie linie kolejowe systemu GO Transit. (pl)

Embora a estação disponha de um terminal servindo tais linhas de superfície, este terminal não é integrado. Passageiros desejando transferir-se entre linhas de superfície e o metrô precisam de um transfer. (pt)
