Whatever and Ever Amen is the second album by Ben Folds Five, released in 1997. Il 22 marzo 2005 è stata pubblicata una versione rimasterizzata del disco con sette tracce bonus fra cui b-sides e cover (come Video Killed the Radio Star dei Buggles) e versioni live. Albumet spelades in i ett hus som frontfiguren Ben Folds hade hyrt i Chapel Hill i North Carolina i USA. Detta ledde till en del bakgrundsljud. Ungefär 2:54 in i "Steven's Last Night in Town" kan man svagt höra en telefon som ringer. Man kan också höra basisten skratta till. Folds har senare sagt att det var en vän som ringde från Minnesota och att signalen passade så bra in i låten att man lät den vara kvar. Dessutom hörs syrsor i bakgrunden under "Cigarette". (sv)
