Wildcat was the post office serving Wildcat Creek (a tributary of Goose Creek) in Clay County, Kentucky, United States.Traditional accounts are that the creek was named in 1815 for wild cats, the favorite target for hunters who settled there. The post office itself was established on September 13, 1930, by the first postmaster, Lillie B. Hacker, and located at the mouth of the creek; it closed in August 1985.
