Zev Shapiro (born Zev Dickstein, May 30, 2002) is a student, activist and social entrepreneur based in Cambridge, MA in the USA. He is the founder of TurnUp, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and app that intends to increase youth voter turnout. Shapiro was born and raised in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He is the grandson of American astrophysicist Irwin Shapiro and psychiatrist Leah Dickstein. He graduated from Cambridge Rindge and Latin School and currently attends Harvard University.

He has volunteered for the campaigns of Democratic politicians Elizabeth Warren, Ed Markey and Maura Healey. In 2014, he was invited to the State of the Union as Elizabeth Warren’s guest. In 2018, a representative of the Massachusetts Teenage Republicans (Mike Brodo) and the vice-chair of the Massachusetts High School Democrats (Shapiro) spoke in support of a Massachusetts Civics Education Bill.In 2019, Shapiro launched TurnUp, an organization and app attempting to improve youth voter turnout.
