Ziva Kunda (June 13, 1955 – February 24, 2004) was an Israeli social psychologist and professor at the University of Waterloo known for her work in social cognition and motivated reasoning. Her seminal paper "The Case for Motivated Reasoning", published in Psychological Bulletin in 1990, posthumously received the Scientific Impact Award from the Society of Experimental Social Psychology. Kunda authored the book Social Cognition: Making Sense of People.

Studia bakalarskie z zakresu psychologii ukończyła w 1978 roku na Uniwersytecie Hebrajskim w Jerozolimie. W 1985 roku uzyskała doktorat i magisterium na Uniwersytecie Michigan. Jest autorką znanej pracy Social Cognition: Making Sense of People. Przed swoją śmiercią w 2004 roku zaczęła pisać autobiografię. Od 1985 roku była adiunktem na Uniwersytecie w Princeton. W 1992 roku została powołana na stanowisko profesora nadzwyczajnego na Uniwersytecie w Waterloo. Od 1997 roku była profesorem zwyczajnym. (pl)
