- L’arcade zygomatique (en latin arcus zygomaticus), est une barre osseuse latérale des crânes des mammifères qui résulte de la réunion en avant du processus temporal de l'os zygomatique qui se dirige en arrière en dehors et légèrement en bas et en arrière du processus zygomatique de l'os temporal qui se dirige en avant, un peu en dehors et en haut. Elle laisse passer en dedans le muscle temporal et donne insertion sur son bord inférieur au muscle masséter. Son relief sur la joue chez l'homme prend le nom de pommette.

El arco cigomático se forma en la unión de la apófisis cigomática del hueso temporal propio de los huesos del cráneo y la articulación del apófisis malar, propio de los huesos de la cara, ubicado a un lado de las fosas orbitales. - Der Jochbogen (lat. Arcus zygomaticus) ist eine kräftige knöcherne Leiste des Schädels bei Säugetieren. Er beginnt unterhalb der Augenhöhle und zieht horizontal in Richtung Ohr. Der Jochbogen ist gut durch die Haut tastbar. Der Jochbogen begrenzt seitlich und unten die Schläfengrube (Fossa temporalis). Sein oberer Rand dient dem Ansatz der Faszie der Schläfengegend (Fascia temporalis), der untere Rand dient dem Ursprung des Musculus masseter, des wichtigsten Kaumuskels. (de)
- L'arcata zigomatica o arco zigomatico (in latino Arcus zygomaticus) è una robusta cresta ossea del cranio dei mammiferi. Inizia sotto la cavità oculare e prosegue orizzontalmente verso l'orecchio. La sua presenza può essere facilmente percepita attraverso la pelle. L'arcata zigomatica limita lateralmente e inferiormente la fossa temporale (Fossa temporalis). Sul suo bordo superiore vi è il punto di inserzione della fascia temporale (Fascia temporalis), su quello inferiore il punto di inserzione del muscolo massetere, (Musculus masseter), il più importante dei muscoli masticatori. Den utgörs huvudsakligen av okbenets processus temporale och sträcker sig mellan tinningbenet (os temporale) och okbenet (corpus zygomaticus). Bakom den yttre hörselgångens bakre vägg och okbensbågens bakre rot finns . I ett litet utskott vid den främre roten fäster .
