Ameesha Patel (pronounced [əˈmiːʂa pəˈʈeːl]), (born Amisha Amit Patel; 9 June 1975), is an Indian actress and model who predominantly appears in Hindi films alongside few Telugu films. She made her acting debut in 2000 with the romantic thriller film Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai which became critically and commercially successful and won her several awards including Zee Cine Award for Best Female Debut. Patel has also been part of successful films including Humraaz (2002), Kya Yehi Pyaar Hai (2002), Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. (2007), Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007) and Race 2 (2013).
