Asbury Park (/æzbɛriː/) is a beachfront city located on the Jersey Shore in Monmouth County in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It is part of the New York metropolitan area. As of the 2020 U.S. census, the city's population was 15,188 a decrease from 16,116 in 2010, reflecting a decline of 814 (−4.8%) from the 16,930 counted in the 2000 census, which had in turn increased by 131 (+0.8%) from the 16,799 counted in the 1990 census. In 2022, Asbury Park's beach was named one of the best in the world by Money and one of the best in the country by Travel + Leisure.
