The Baltimore City Health Department (BCHD) is the public health agency of the city of Baltimore, Maryland. BCHD convenes and collaborates with other city agencies, health care providers, community organizations and funders to "empower Baltimoreans with the knowledge, access, and environment that will enable healthy living." The agency employs a workforce of approximately 1,100 employees and manages a budget of approximately $126 million. Dr. Letitia Dzirasa was named Baltimore City Health Commissioner in 2019.
